Learn step-by-step how to cook your first Paella following my family’s recipe in a charming cooking space located in one the most unique and multicultural neighborhoods of Barcelona, the bohemian district of Gracia. During this cooking workshop, we will also make Sangría, an iconic and traditional refreshment in Spain and while in the region of Catalunya you will be learning to make the most traditional dessert ‘Catalan Cream’, a flavorful, aromatic and creamy dessert.
We will cook all the recipes together and share the tasks just like a traditional Spanish family. Together around one big table with all the necessary fresh ingredients. Some of you will be cutting fruits to prepare the Sangría, while others will be preparing the Catalan Cream or the vegetables for the Paella. Depending on the size of the class, we will all take turns making sure that each one of us have a chance to participate.
At the end of the course we will eat together our communal Paella with a glass of Sangría and completed with the dessert of Catalan Cream.

Everyone told me that if I’m going to Barcelona to go and try Paella. If I was going to try this famous dish out I also wanted to know the... read more story behind it about it without bombarding any local waiter with questions. This is where the cooking class becomes a learning experience. Eladi not only passionately shares the history behind Paella, Tapas, and Sangria but also tells you why people value eating this dish together as a group of friends or family. It gets enhanced when you start pouring and mixing the ingredients yourself and start to see the dish come to life. I would 100% recommend this class to everyone either with a friend or a solo traveler like myself. You and your stomach will not regret this amazing opportunity. Muchas Gracias, Eladi!
