This experience is very basic for anyone who has a reasonable background in cooking. The tapas (which was basically old bread scraped with garlic and tomato and a single... read more slice of cheese and jamon), sangria (a tiny amount of fruit cut by a group of 5 collaboratively) and the communal paella cooked over a single burner was not enough food to feed our family (2 adults and 3 children). For this price point, I expect to make individual paella dishes for each person, each participant chopping their own vegetables and has their own burner. The broth was premade - no attempt to show us how to make the broth (which has all the flavor) was made. Maybe we would have been happier if we had unlimited wine during the entire class, but even the sangria quantity was limited to one single glass. The knowledge acquired and food/beverage was not worth the 275USD for 2h, which started late. Would not recommend. The nearby town is charming though.

It was an excellent class! Anna is a very passionate and articulate teacher, and she shared with us all about Spanish cooking. She prepared a drink Sangria with red wine, a dessert crema catalana ( which involves a blow torch), and chicken, prawn and green bean paella. As there was one participant which was vegetarian, we also had a smaller pan of artichoke paella which was delicious. (so its good that you go with a vegeterian! Haha) This class is interactive as for each step Anna would demonstrate and then someone could volunteer to take over. At the end of the class I purchased the wooden spoons we ate with :) I saw that they also had "pimento la vera" and saffron for purchase, but I had already got that on my trip to Granada, a few
